Minnesota Fishing Licenses
It’s time to buy a new Minnesota Fishing License and purchasing one couldn’t be easier. The license is good from March 1, 2007 through February 29, 2008 so there is no sense waiting around until opening weekend to get one.
There are a number of places where you can purchase a fishing license. Many convenient stores and gas stations sell them as do most resorts and outfitters throughout the state. The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources offers the option to purchase your license online, just be sure to choose the one that best suits your needs. There is a $3.50 fee for this service and you must print the license yourself.
If you will be a guest of Voyageur this summer and do not plan to fish until you get up here then we can have your license ready and waiting for you upon your arrival. All you need to do is send us the necessary information, choose the license you want, and send us a check for payment.
Purchasing your license in advance of your trip will save you valuable vacation time. No need to wait in line inside when you are a stones throw away from the Boundary Waters. Just remember, If you will be fishing for trout then you will need to purchase a Trout Stamp in addition to your regular license. Also for non-resident licenses that are not seasonal you will need to let us know the start date and time for the license. If you are married and both of you wish to fish then consider purchasing a family license, it’s less expensive than buying two single licenses. Once the license is purchased we are unable to offer refunds or make changes to the license.
