Games we play in the Boundary Waters

Uno, Dos, Farkle, Yahtzee, Spot it, Exploding Kittens, Phase 10? “What is your go to camping game for the Boundary Waters?” We have a small pouch with our favorite games in them that we bring along on vacations and into the BWCA. But sometimes we come up with games that are way more fun to play.  Did you know pine cones could be baseballs, golf balls or be used as hand grenades? Name that tune is a popular way to pass time while paddling the open expanse of a lake, only after I Spy has been exhausted or 20 questions.

There are so many games you can play and I’m afraid some of them will be lost forever with the introduction of Angry Birds, Candy Crush and the other million games a person can play on a phone.  I hope you’ll give me some great ideas of games you can play in the BWCA so I can share them with others.
