Favorite Boundary Waters Lake

Today’s question is an easy one for me. Hands down my favorite Boundary Waters lake is Saganaga. It’s such an amazing body of water with so many islands and bays. Whenever I have a couple of free days I find myself drawn to camping on Saganaga. I’ll think about going down to Brule Lake or over to Caribou but then I realize Saganaga has everything I want and need and the fact it is right in our backyard makes it even better.

“What is your favorite Boundary Waters or Quetico lake and why?”

We get asked this question numerous times but it really is a personal matter. What type of trip are you taking? Do you want to spend time fishing? Are you looking to get away from everyone? Do you mind background noise? Every lake has its advantages and knowing what you want out of your canoe camping adventure will help you decide which lake is right for you. And like I always say, it’s the memories made on a particular lake that really make it a favorite.
