Chilly Temperatures on the Gunflint Trail

We’ve been making ice on the Gunflint Trail this past week. The temperatures have dipped below zero a few times and into single digits numerous times. This is good news for winter enthusiasts especially ice anglers and snowmobilers.

Most of the small lakes are frozen and with some more frigid temperatures the larger ones will freeze solid as well.  Until then if you’re venturing out onto frozen lakes proceed with caution.
