Sunset on Sag

Josh and I decided to try our luck at some fall fishing last night.  After picking him up from the bus stop we gathered our fishing gear and headed out to Saganaga.  A friend of ours on Saganaga always brags about how many fish he catches off of his dock so we thought we would give it a try.

We pulled up to his dock and started fishing right away.  Josh decided to put a crawler on a slip bobber rig and cast out.  I started out with Josh’s fancy white mouse lure but didn’t get a bite.  We tried a Mepp’s Spinner, a frog lure and didn’t have any luck.  Our friend finally joined us and started casting a lure too, still no fish.

Our friend summed it up when he said, "That’s why they call it fishing and not catching."  As we boated home we were able to watch the sun setting on Saganaga.  We may not have caught any fish but we sure felt lucky nonetheless.
