Spring on the Gunflint Trail

Spring has sprung! Or it was supposed to have sprung yesterday in conjunction with the equinox. Instead, we woke up to a big dumping of fresh, moisture filled snow on the Gunflint Trail. It doesn’t look like spring around here but that doesn’t keep us from thinking about the season that happens after mud season, summer! Yes, summer will come and with it the paddling season we are all looking forward to.

Where will your Boundary Waters trip take you this summer? While you ponder that question head over to our website where you can read about one of my favorite routes, the Saganaga, Knife Lake, Seagull Lake loop.
