Distract yourself by planning a Boundary Waters canoe trip

It’s still winter in northern Minnesota but like everywhere else in the world the Coronavirus scare has reached us. The good news is we do a pretty good job of social distancing without even trying. We have always said the end of the Gunflint Trail is the perfect place to get away from it all and we couldn’t agree more during these crazy times.

Our daughter Abby has been studying abroad in Australia for the semester but is now on her way home. Our son Josh is returning home from his 2nd semester of college and things are a bit uncertain. We’re going to take advantage of this time to reconnect, spend some time outside as a family and plan a summer canoe trip.

We encourage you to pull out your BWCAW maps and look at all of the possibilities for summer canoe trip adventures. There are so many lakes and so little time. If you want to take a mental escape you can lose yourself while reading about some of our trips on our website.  Call a friend and talk about those past adventures and start planning your next one. If you’re feeling lonely, give us a call,  218-388-2224, we’d love to help you plan your next canoe trip. Heck, we’ll even listen to your favorite canoe trip stories if you feel like sharing.

As always, we value your friendship and support of Voyageur Canoe Outfitters and hope you all remain healthy and safe.  When things settle down and we can gather again we’ll look forward to sharing the end of the Gunflint Trail with you, our fresh air, starry nights and canoe adventures will be waiting for you at Voyageur.
