Yippeee, it’s a snow day and that means there is no school for the kids today. It would have been nice to know that before I was up and had them both in the shower, but hey, I can’t complain, or can I? After a weekend of fun and excitement the work has waited and now it looks like some of it may have to wait another day.
Grand Marais and the North Shore ended up with anywhere between 14-18 inches of snow over the weekend and here on the Gunflint Trail it’s anywhere from 10-16 inches with another couple of inches falling last night. The trails will be in terrific shape after grooming and I might have to actually get my snowmobile out for a ride. I’m embarassed to say I haven’t had my snowshoes out yet either and it looks like I’ll need them to go almost anywhere right now.
We still have some winter openings at Voyageur and we’d love for you to be able to experience some of this winter fun. If you try to call and get the answering machine then please leave a message, I’ll be outside enjoying the snow myself…
