Beargrease Coming Soon
The 25th running of the John Beargrease Sled Dog Marathon is right around the corner again. Last year’s running was cancelled due to the lack of snow, I don’t think that will be a problem this year. The race begins January 27, 2008 in Duluth, MN and our good friend Mark Black of Black Magic Kennels will be there.
Mark Black was the winner of the 2005 Beargrease Sled Dog Marathon. He and his wife Mary own and operate their kennel and along with racing they offer sled dog experiences at their home, off the beaten path. They have a great bunch of dogs and if you get the chance this winter give them a call and try mushing for yourself. Be sure to follow their progress and cheer them on during the Beargrease.
"The John Beargrease Sled Dog Marathon is considered one of the most prestigious sled dog races in the lower 48 States, attracting mushers and spectators from around the world including many from the United States, Canada & Europe. It’s one of the longest races outside Alaska, covering nearly 400 miles of difficult terrain."
Come on up and be a part of the excitement during the 25th running of the John Beargrease Sled Dog Marathon on the Gunflint Trail, we’d love to see you at Voyageur.
