Rain on Alpine

We welcomed the much needed rain on Wednesday with open arms.  It rained most of the day and into the evening for a total accumulation of almost two inches here at the end of the Trail.  This rain should help move the fire contaiment date up to Friday at least.  Some of the fire fighting crews are already leaving but there is still some work to be done.  Anyone who has ever rolled up fire hose knows how much work it is.  There is over 30 miles of hose to be rolled and hauled out, not an easy task.  We are thankful to mother nature for the wonderful rain and hope she will give some to the rest of the BWCA so the fire ban will be lifted.
