Rain and Sun

It rained off and on yesterday throughout the day and into the evening.  There were even flood warnings for the North Shore but we only received around three quarters of an inch at the end of the Gunflint Trail.  A nice soaking for Mother Earth as she prepares herself for the long winter ahead.

The sun is out again today and the forecast says it will stick around.  The temperatures are expected to get up into the high 60’s today with a Southwest wind.

I haven’t kept good track of wind direction for the past few days, but I’m pretty sure it’s the 2nd or 3rd day with wind from the South.  There was a man who stopped in yesterday for some fishing advice and I offered him some.  A few hours later he returned with a couple of walleyes and a few other fishing stories.  I guess I know where to fish when the wind is coming from the South!

Now all I have to do is carve out a little bit of time so I can go out fishing and try my luck in this gorgeous fall weather.
