Party at the Pond
The other morning on my way to the dump I saw not one, not two, but three moose in the moose pond. It looked like some sort of Saturday social gathering. One moose was swimming across the pond while the other two were standing near shore eating. It was a strange sight to see especially since they were all about the same age, not a cow with calves. We should start seeing cows with their calves pretty soon as this is the time of the year when calves are born. We did have one guest see a wobbly legged calf while out fishing on Saganaga recently. Moose calves are probably one of the cutest babies on earth with legs that look like stilts and a neck that begs to be hugged. Come on up and join the party, then you can spot your very own moose.
