Happy Birthday Mike and Happy Mother’s Day Moms

This year I have to share Mother’s Day with Mike because his birthday happens to fall on Mother’s Day this year.  I guess the kids will have to wait on both of us today.  Not sure what we’ll do to celebrate because I don’t think we’ll be going fishing.

Mark took the boat out for a ride yesterday to see what the ice looks like.  It still looks like frozen water on Saganaga and even on our smaller Gull Lake.  With reports of 22 inches of ice on Sawbill the other day I’m guessing there is just as much on Saganaga.  Our fingers are crossed for some hot sunshine to melt the persistent ice in the Boundary Waters.
