Great to be Home
We had a long day of travel on Friday with flights from Myrtle Beach to Detroit, Detroit to Milwaukee, Milwaukee to Minneapolis and finally back to Duluth. We spent the night there and headed home early this morning. There was some snow along the shore but as we headed up the hill and onto the Gunflint Trail we were greeted by a winter wonderland. It must have snowed last night because the roads were white and all of the trees had clumps of snow clinging to them. The smaller lakes have frozen and have snow on top of the ice. It’s hard to believe it was 50 degrees and Fall when we left and 30 degrees and snow a week later upon our return. It’s wonderful to be home and I can’t wait to get out and enjoy the woods once again.
