There are still some groups braving the cold weather to head out into the wilderness. This past week was wet and cold and with the added wind some may describe it as miserable. Let’s just say I didn’t have any desire to be out paddling or camping in the Boundary Waters.
This morning the sun is shining and there isn’t a cloud in the sky. It’s still a bit cold but even the strength of the Autumn sun helps keep everyone warm. Unfortunately the forecast isn’t looking too good for weekend warriors.
Possible snow flurries are in the forecast as well as high temperatures in the 30’s and winds in the 20’s. I think I will wait for a better weekend forecast before I head out into the BWCA again. The woods and warmth of the protected trails are calling me.
