There are a few big boats left on Lake Superior and this time of the year they are frequently seen close to shore. With the freezing cold temperatures on the way there’s a freezing spray warning for them. I hadn’t ever heard of such a thing before but I know how ice can build up on the shoreline when it’s cold and I’ve seen photos of ice encrusted boats before too.
|Instructions:||A Heavy Freezing Spray Warning means heavy freezing spray is expected to rapidly accumulate on vessels. These conditions can be extremely hazardous to navigation. It is recommended that mariners not trained to operate in these conditions or vessels not properly equipped to do so, remain in port or avoid the warning area.|
