A White and Frosty Christmas on the Gunflint Trail

If you’re looking for a place to enjoy a white Christmas then head to the Gunflint Trail. We’ve got plenty of snow to play in and it looks like a winter wonderland. The temperature has been pretty mild so far but it’s expected to cool down over Christmas. Temperatures aren’t even expected to make it above zero on Christmas day.  It will be a perfect time to snuggle by the fire and enjoy family and friends.

Conditions are expected to clear up by the weekend as a huge pool of Arctic air descends on the region. Lows by Saturday night are expected to hit the teens below zero, with 20s below zero possible Sunday night. Highs on Christmas Day are forecast to reach only the single digits below zero.

The Weather Service says frigid wind chills of 20 below to 35 below will develop from Saturday night through Tuesday night.
