Football Forecast

I had to laugh when I read this short-term weather alert forecast last night.  I’m not sure what driddle means and I don’t know why we would be concerned about puddles being formed, but someone obviously felt it was important.

LIGHT RAIN SHOWERS WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE NORTHEAST THROUGH THE
CASS…BRAINERD AND BIG SANDY LAKES AREA…THROUGH DULUTH AND THE
IRON RANGE UP THE NORTH SHORE AND ARROWHEAD THIS EVENING. RAIN
WILL DRIDDLE FROM ROOFS…RUN ACROSS PAVEMENTS…AND FORM SMALL
PUDDLES. RAINFALLS WILL BE LESS THAN A TENTH OF AN INCH.

The rest of the week and next week’s forecast is calling for snow.  It’s a good thing the Cook County Vikings will be playing indoors at the Metrodome this Friday.  They won their game last weekend and are in the quarter finals of the State Championship for football.

Excitement is in the air in Grand Marais so now we’ll wait and see if snow will be too.
