Fire and the Phone

First of all I want to say thank you to everyone who has called and expressed their concern for our safety regarding the Alpine Lake fire and it’s close proximity.  As you can imagine our phone has been ringing off the hook since last night’s news on television.  Homeowners, relatives, guests, and friends have all been calling to check on the situation and we appreciate all of the well wishes.  However, we would like to keep our phone lines open for emergency calls and for people who are still looking to book a vacation this year!  I will be updating the blog whenever I learn any new information about the fire, so please help us to keep our phone lines open by checking back here for details.  The weather is hot today with temperatures predicted to reach up into the 90’s.  The wind is blowing and they are predicting speeds of 10-20 miles per hour from the Southwest.  Today the USFS will be able to determine pretty quickly what the fire is going to do.  Remember, all entry points are still open into the BWCA and in the event of closures we will let you know via this Blog.   Thanks again for your help and prayers.
