Fall Colors Come Quickly

It seems like the fall colors came quickly and it looks like they may disappear just as fast.  While the fall color map says we haven’t quite reached peak colors I’d say I think we have.  This is later than usual for the fall color peak and just like the weather this summer the changing of the leaves is a bit unusual too.  I didn’t see as many bright reds as normal and while some of the leaves flutter to the forest floor there are still some leaves that are completely green left on the trees.  There seems to be pockets and patches of leaves at varying stages but if I were you, I’d head north soon because before you know it, all of the leaves will be gone.
