A Fresh Coat

There’s nothing better than a fresh coat of snow on the ground.  The Gunflint Trail received a new coat of snow yesterday in depths ranging from 2-4 inches.  It makes everything more beautiful and all forms of winter recreation all the more fun.

The cross-country ski trails will no doubt be freshly groomed for the weekend guests at area resorts.  The fast skiing conditions due to the hard packed snow will be reduced to a more moderate pace with the new snow.  The  The snowmobile trail was groomed on Thursday and this added snow will make for a great ride.  Lutsen Ski Resort on the North Shore also received a good dumping of the white stuff, so everyone should be happy now.

Thanks to everyone who did the snow dance for me last week.  My blog readers must be great dancers because by the looks of the winter wonderland outside of my window it sure looks like it worked.
