Water Level at Voyageur

The water level in the fall is usually quite low and this year is no exception.  It’s amazing how much it changes between Spring, Summer and Fall. That’s why we have floating docks with ramps that can adjust to the fluctuations.

In the Spring the water level is very low but by June it is usually up quite a bit and we have to walk up our ramps onto the docks. By Fall the water level drops and we have to walk down the ramps once again.

Of course I can only find this photo I took a week ago but it shows what I am talking about.  You can see the normal water level mark on the big rock on the middle dock and as some of you know we’ve had it as high up as the gas pump.
