When I woke up to bring Abby to the bus this morning the thermometer read 50 degrees, that was at 6:00 AM. The temperature is already up to 63 degrees and is expected to stay in the 60’s and high 50’s throughout the week. For the Gunflint Trail and Northeastern Minnesota that is warm for mid-April weather. The snow only remains in the shade underneath trees or where it was piled up during the winter, the rest has melted away. Our Seagull River has opened up and we even have a duck swimming in it already. It feels like a Summer day and reminds us that Summer isn’t too far away.
