With all of the talk about Mush for a Cure I bet you thought this blog entry would be about breast cancer survivors.  Well it isn’t, it’s about the winter camper kind of survivors.

A writer friend of ours contacted us to see if we would be up for a winter camping adventure.  Of course one of us had to stay home with the kids and I won that vote.  Mike was able to go out into the Boundary Waters for 3 nights of winter camping.  He, along with two other men equipped themselves with a canvas tent, a wood stove, cots and camp chairs.  They camped in style and comfort and got to eat Mike’s great cooking.  They snowshoed into a nearby lake and even caught fresh lake trout for dinner.  The weather cooperated for the most part and they experienced a great adventure.

Of course there’s more to the story but I’ll save that for another day.
