Happy St. Patrick’s Day
Here’s wishing you all a Happy St. Patrick’s Day. Even though I am not Irish I still enjoy celebrating St. Patrick’s Day like I am.
For many years we attended the Sport and Travel Show in Milwaukee, WI and we were able to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day there. During the daytime the locals celebrated with a parade where they not only threw candy from floats but also Usinger’s Sausages! In the evening the Irish Pubs would be filled to the brim with people dressed in green and drinking green beer until their faces turned green. The day after St. Patrick’s Day was always a slow one at the Sport Show.
Here are a couple of my favorite Irish Blessings, it’s difficult to only choose two since they have so many good ones. May you and your loved ones have a very Happy St. Patrick’s Day and day after!
An Old Irish Blessing |
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face, and rains fall soft upon your fields. And until we meet again, May God hold you in the palm of His hand. |
An Old Irish Blessing |
May love and laughter light your days, and warm your heart and home. May good and faithful friends be yours, wherever you may roam. May peace and plenty bless your world with joy that long endures. May all life’s passing seasons bring the best to you and yours! |
