Fall Canoe Trips
We recently had a group return from the Quetico Park who had an absolutely wonderful trip. This isn’t that unusual as most people do have a great time canoe camping in the wilderness, but it made me get the itch to get out and paddle. We usually get to go paddling in the Fall once most of our canoe guests are done for the season. We love to travel the BWCA and Quetico in September because it is a wonderful time of the year in the wilderness. There are literally no bugs left, the water is warm enough to swim, fishing is good, and most people have headed South. The days are usually comfortably warm and we can stay up late enough to see the sunset, unlike our summer trips! Wildlife is out and about in September and the Fall colors can be fantastic. Anytime is a good time to get out and paddle and I’m hoping that time comes soon.
