Canoe Country Food

The best part of camping is when everyone gathers around the fire pit to cook the evening meal.  It is a time to be together, talk about the day and plan tomorrow’s adventure.  I always look forward to mealtime, not just because Mike always cooks, but because I am usually starving by then!  Our Voyageur Menu for outfitting has some awesome items on it.  Last year we had lobster on our trip and this year we tried our Mexican Rice with Beef.  There are so many options of freeze-dried foods, dehydrated foods, and grocery store items that are suitable for trips into the BWCA or Quetico Park.  Do you have a favorite camping food or recipe you would like to share?  I’d love to learn some new recipes or foods that work in the BWCA!
