.A COMBINATION OF ARCTIC HIGH PRESSURE MOVING INTO THE AREA AND
LIGHT NORTH TO NORTHEAST WINDS WILL RESULT IN VERY COLD WIND
CHILLS THIS MORNING. CONDITIONS WILL IMPROVE BY MID TO LATE
MORNING. MEANWHILE…ON THE SOUTH SHORE OF LAKE SUPERIOR…LAKE
EFFECT SNOW SHOWERS WILL PERSIST THROUGH NOON TODAY. SOME
LOCATIONS WILL SEE BETWEEN 3 AND 6 INCHES OF ACCUMULATION. THE
HIGHEST AMOUNTS COULD BE AROUND AND JUST SOUTH OF SUPERIOR

A WIND CHILL ADVISORY MEANS THAT VERY COLD AIR AND WINDS WILL COMBINE TO GENERATE VERY COLD WIND CHILLS. THIS MAY RESULT IN HYPOTHERMIA AND POSSIBLY FROST BITE…IF PRECAUTIONS ARE NOT TAKEN. IF YOU VENTURE OUTDOORS…MAKE SURE COVER AS MUCH EXPOSED SKIN AS POSSIBLE TO NEGATE THE EFFECTS OF THE WIND.
