Winter Tracks Fun

We had a great time at last night’s snowshoe hike and tipi campfire.  It was a beautiful hike through the quiet woods with the stars shining brilliantly overhead.  Abby and Josh loved being outside in the dark and we even saw a shooting star.  We all enjoyed making s’mores over the campfire in the warm comfort of a tipi at Golden Eagle Lodge.  We missed the ice auger drilling contest this morning but plan on attending the snowshoe obstacle course at Gunflint Pines later today.  Tonight we are hosting a fish dinner and wildlife speaker.  Steve Robertson from the USFS will be the presenter.  We can’t wait for tomorrow’s dinner and Snowboot Ball.  Come join us in celebrating winter on the Gunflint Trail with our Winter Tracks Festival.
