Visit Chik-Wauk Museum and Nature Center

Chik-Wauk Museum and Nature Center is just two miles from Voyageur Canoe Outfitters at the end of the Gunflint Trail. Many of our guests take advantage of the close proximity of Chik-Wauk and spend time in the museum and hiking on the trails. It doesn’t matter how many times you have visited Chik-Wauk you always discover something new.

If you haven’t been to Chik-Wauk yet this year then Sunday is the perfect time to visit. Here’s an invitation…

Please join us Sunday, June 29 for an open house and shrimp boil at Chik-Wauk Museum and Nature Center.

Never been to a shrimp boil? You’ll experience a very unique cooking style and presentation, and all funds raised support ongoing operations of the Gunflint Trail Historical Society and Chik-Wauk Museum and Nature Center. Meal will be served from noon – 2 p.m., rain or shine, $10 suggested donation for meal. No need for reservations; all welcome. Bring your family!

In addition to a great meal, don’t miss this chance to view this season’s exhibit on “Butterflies, Skippers and Moths of the Gunflint Trail.” This is also an excellent opportunity to renew your GTHS membership.

Enjoy the beautiful setting and help support the GTHS and Chik-Wauk Museum and Nature Center.

Hope to see you there.
