Unseasonably Beautiful Weather on My Beautiful Sister’s Birthday

     My one and only sister celebrates her birthday today and I hope the weather down south is just as beautiful as it is up here.  It’s already 52 degrees and there isn’t a cloud in the sky.  I looked at the forecast again this morning and they are predicting temperatures of 75-80 degrees on Wednesday. This weather has been absolutely incredible for those lucky enough to be paddling the Boundary Waters.

     While I didn’t take a canoe out yesterday I did go for a walk in the woods.  The sun was so hot it felt like summer and I had the urge to pick blueberries.  Unfortunately all of the blueberry picking is done for the season but I couldn’t get blueberries out of my mind.  As soon as I got home I went to the freezer and took a bag out and ate until my fingers and teeth were blue.
