They’re Back

     Amy Voytilla and Dave Freeman have returned to Grand Marais after their 51 day voyage around Lake Superior for the Wilderness Classroom Project.  What an awesome accomplishment to have paddled over 1100 miles on the biggest Great Lake.  Lake Superior can be an unforgiving lake but luckily Dave and Amy were kept safe in spite of  winds as high as 45 mph and treacherous waves.  If you haven’t had a chance to visit their site then I recommend you at least go to see their incredible photos of their journey.  While kayaking in the Boundary Waters may not be quite as intense it can be a great time as well.  If you’re interested in learning more about what Voyageur Canoe Outfitters offers for kayak trips then visit our website.
