The Sun is Hot!

The temperature last night got down to -22 degrees and today it got up to 28 degrees above zero.  The sun this time of the year sure is hot. I was out for a ski today and while the air was chilly the sun beat down on me and warmed me up quickly.

The skiing at Pincushion was the best of the year so far. The grooming was excellent and while there were a few soft spots overall it was almost perfect. There are a number of great loops to ski at Pincushion and I rarely see another person on the trails.

The Pincushion area is close to Grand Marais but is still a quiet and wonderful place to ski. There are so many awesome trails to choose from in Cook County, if only a person had enough free time to ski them all!
