The 26th Running of the John Beargrease Sled Dog Marathon

     Good news for those of us who love sled dogs and their mushers.  This year’s John Beargrease Sled Dog Marathon will continue up to Gunflint Lake instead of turning around at Trail Center on the Gunflint Trail.  This gives everyone more opportunities to watch race participants and help with the road crossings.

     If you want to be a part of this year’s excitement then come on up to Voyageur.  We’d love to see you up here and we have a place for you to stay.   If you are interested in volunteering during the race then please feel free to contact Jean at roadcrossings@hotmail.com. 

    Mark Black, of Black Magic Kennels  will be racing again this year.  We’re hoping the weather cooperates this year and Mark chalks up his second Beargrease win.
