That’s More Like It!
"That’s the way, uh huh uh huh I li iike it." I’m not sure who sings that or what song it’s from but it’s what popped into my head this morning when I looked outside of the window. The trees are dressed in a new coat of fresh fallen snow and they look quite majestic if I do say so myself. Even the forecast for today is looking good for lovers of winter on the Gunflint Trail.

The snow is welcome after the almost two inches of rain we received on the 9th and 10th. That was just plain not ok for February. It looks like we have 4-6 inches of new snow on the ground and I for one couldn’t be happier. So, get out those snowshoes or your ice fishing gear and come on up to the Gunflint Trail where winter lives on!
Adult Minnesotans (18 and older) can try ice fishing without purchasing a license if they take a child younger than 16 fishing during Take-A-Kid Ice Fishing Weekend, Feb. 14-16.
