Still Time for Camping in the BWCA

The days have been cold and the nights a little longer but the forecast is calling for a little bit of a warm up this weekend.  WIth high temperatures in the 50’s and calm winds in the forecast for the weekend I’m wishing I could paddle and camp in the Boundary Waters this weekend.  An overnight hiking trip sounds pretty awesome too.

The real world calls and I’ll be in St. Cloud for the weekend and not camping in the BWCA.  My Aunt Bea from Arkansas is visiting and we’ll get to spend time with her.  She’ll be leaving temperatures in the 80’s behind for temperatures in the 50’s.  I’m thinking we should have planned to go south to visit her instead for a little more summer like weather.

Summer is over, fall is here and winter is just around the corner.  It’s time to get out the winter clothes and put away some of the summer gear.  I’m just not quite ready to give up on camping yet.
