With the thermometer reading in the teens all day today and snowflakes sailing through the air it made me think about cross-country skiing. I couldn’t help but get excited for enough snow on the trails to get out there. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we got a big dumping of snow and they could get the trails groomed in November? I would much prefer that over getting snow, having it melt, then getting more and having it melt again.
I can always hope. But I guess it isn’t very realistic since the trails are some of the favorite places for hunters to walk in November. And some of the hunters are also ski trail groomers who would probably rather be hunting. I guess it can’t hurt to think about it and get my ski stuff out some I’m ready to go when the trails are ready to be skiied.
