Sled Dog Race
In a previous blog entry I mentioned our summer staff member Alex Beebe-Giudice was working for a dog musher near Grand Marais this winter. Last weekend he had the opportunity to race his own team in the 80-mile Apostle Islands Sled Dog Race, in Bayfield, Wis. It was two days of tough racing with 40 miles traveled each day. He ended up taking 3rd place out of over 30 teams. We’re so proud of him for just finishing his first race and ecstatic that he took 3rd place. This weekend he will race in Michigan for the Midnight Run; a 100 mile continuous race that starts at 6pm and runs through the following morning. We’ll be wishing him the best of luck and if you would like to send your cheers go ahead and post them to the blog.
