One of my favorite day trips into the Boundary Waters is to the Seagull Lake palisades. It’s a fairly quick paddle to the palisades from the Trail’s End Campground. There are a few different routes you can paddle depending upon what islands you go around but it usually takes around thirty minutes. Then it’s just a short trek up the palisades to where you have an amazing view of Seagull Lake.
