Rain Again
After a few great days of weather the rain has returned. The leaves are starting to fall from the trees and the Tamaracks are changing color almost overnight. A Fall rain brings a special scent to the forest that is hard to describe. The moisture saturates the leaves and when they fall to the ground they remain where they fall until they have dried up and the wind is able to blow them away. This can create quite the artwork on the ground. Most people like to get out and rake those leaves as soon as they fall, I on the other hand tend to enjoy the ground covered in a patchwork of color.
