New Month, New Moon

Happy December!  It is the 1st of December and we are in the New Moon Phase.  Normally around the new moon we are able to have a better chance at sighting the northern lights.  In December this is especially true since the daylight hours are so limited.  Come to think of it, all winter long I see more northern lights than during the summer when it gets dark after my bed time.  Hopefully the clouds will clear up for the next couple of evenings so we can see some light shows in the sky.
