June 1-8 is National Boating and    Fishing week so be sure to get out and do some boating and fishing.  The 6-8th is Take a Kid Fishing Weekend and adults age 18 and older fish free when accompanied by a child under 16.  We would love to have you join us at Voyageur for a week or weekend of fishing and boating fun.

The fishing on the Gunflint Trail and in the canoe country is good right now and it’s only going to get better.   The water temperatures are warming up and people have been catching lots of nice fish.  The Thaler brothers had a great week of walleye fishing and caught a 29.5", 30", 30.5", 30 3/4" and a 32".

Gary and Craig Thaler have been coming up the Gunflint Trail since 1960 when the Trail was just a moose trail.  They have been staying at Voyageur for a week of fishing fun for many years and have been here all of the years we have owned it.  They are lots of fun to have around and they consider Saganaga a very special place.

We invite you to come up and make some of your own memories at Voyageur during the National Fishing and Boating Week and during the Take a Kid Fishing Weekend.  It’s a terrific opportunity to introduce a child to the great outdoors and help them get hooked on the life long sport of fishing.
