Ice on the Puddles
This morning I woke up to frost on my windshield and ice on the puddles. I wasn’t prepared for that mentally or physically. Needless to say it was a slow drive to the bus stop without the scraper. We were within seconds of having to chase down the bus. That was a close one.
Yesterday was a beautiful day on the trail with sunshine galore. It had been a couple of days since we had seen the sun so it was very nice to have a full day of it. It looks like today is going to be another gorgeous day as there’s not a cloud in the sky.
I heard spring peepers yesterday! I could barely believe my ears. Spring has sprung very early on the Gunflint Trail this year. But in it’s typical fashion it’s reminding us how quickly the temperatures can plummet below freezing.
