Hiking in the Fall

     There are way too many places to hike in Cook County. The Superior Hiking Trail, the spur trails, forest roads, logging roads, portages and of course the many trails on the Gunflint Trail. It’s difficult to decide where to go especially when the colors of the leaves are peaking.

     There are many beautiful peaks on the shore of Lake Superior. Oberg Mountain, Carleton Peak, Moose Mountain are all great for viewing spectacular scenery and fall foliage.  This weekend we hiked up to Blueberry Hill at Chik Wauk and enjoyed the fall colors.
