Happy Mother’s Day
Here’s wishing all of you moms out there a very Happy Mother’s Day. I hope you all get to spend your day doing what you enjoy most. For those of you who may not have had time to shop for a gift for the special woman in your life why not make a difference and purchase a Pink Paddle? It would make a great present and help find a cure for breast cancer.
I often wonder why so many people eat out on Mother’s Day, it’s the number one day for eating out in the United States. I know it is suppose to be a treat for those traditional moms who cook every meal at home for the family, that way she doesn’t have to cook three meals that day. But I wonder if eating out with the family on Mother’s Day is really a treat. It seems like the times when I’ve been in a city and have gone out to eat for Mother’s Day we end up waiting in a crowded lobby for 30-45 minutes after our reservation just to be seated. The kids are bored and tired and even though it’s Mother’s Day they whine and complain. This of course irritates the dad which in turn makes the mom nervous and edgy. By the time you sit down to eat you find out what you were planning on ordering is now no longer available and the restaurant is out of coloring crayons for the kids. When the food finally arrives it is mediocre at best and your server really could care less, because after all people should know better than to expect good food or service at noon on Mother’s Day. In any case, I hope everyone’s dining experience on Mother’s Day is a treat and again, have a great day.
