Fishing on Sag

Mike, the kids, and I were able to take advantage of a beautiful day and go fishing on Saganaga.  We loaded up in Mike’s new boat and headed North from our dock into the Canadian side of Sag.  We were trying the downrigger method of fishing for Lake Trout in 50-60 feet of water.  We had the first fish on in what seemed like minutes and the kids were ecstatic.  We continued to troll and enjoy the spectacular scenery of the Northeast arm of Saganaga.  Right before we were headed in to shore to check out Horsetail Falls we got another nice Laker in the boat.  We hiked to the top of the falls, picked some blueberries and hopped back into the boat.  We had a couple of more fish on that got away but it was a wonderful day of fishing with the family.  Mike fried up our Lake Trout for dinner and everyone including the staff appreciated the great meal of fish.
