Feels like Fall

Yesterday started out cool and drizzly and remained so most of the day.  It was one of those surreal days when you aren’t even sure what season it is because of the weather.  It felt more like fall than summer with the temperature hovering in the low 60’s throughout much of the day and dipping down to 41 degrees for a low.  The good news is we received about a quarter of an inch of much needed rain to wet things down again.

The forecast calls for the temperatures to rise again for the weekend and the rest of next week.  Daytime highs are predicted to be in the mid 70’s with very little rain likely.  It’s a great time to be paddling and camping in the Boundary Waters.  Guests have been reporting good fishing, very few bugs and even fewer people so come on up and spend some time in the canoe country this summer.
