We sure miss it when we don’t have it.  That was the case last night when the wind blew trees down onto the power lines and we were without electricity for what seemed like forever.  The power went out sometime after 5:30pm and didn’t come back on until after 11:00pm.

You would think we would invest in a generator for as much as we lose electricity. The reason we don’t have one is because of money, or lack there of it.  In order to run the resort it would take a pretty big generator so we’ve never invested in one.

After the blowdown when we were without elecricity for 14 days a company brought one in for us to rent.  It didn’t run everything including the refrigerator and freezers but luckily a food distributor brought a refrigerated truck up for us to use.

Last night’s loss of electricity wasn’t life threatening.  When we lose power it’s usually just a big inconvenience since our phone system and computers need electricity to operate.  I just didn’t get to do some of the things I had planned to do.  Today is a new day and those things are still waiting for me. And guess what? We got power.
