Cold!

We are finally experiencing some real Minnesota winter temperatures.  Yesterday was cool and crisp and this morning we woke up to a temperature below zero!  Just a degree below zero, but at least it was below!  The sky was clear last night and the stars were out in full force.  It is amazing to look up into the night sky and see so many sparkling stars and the constellations they make up.  It makes me wish I had a telescope and knew more about what was out in that great big night sky.  Don and Marilyn bought Abby a really neat Christmas gift that projects the night sky in a dark room, almost like her own planetarium where she can set the date and see exactly what the sky would look like.  That prompted me to get out a book I bought last year that tells about the Sky at Night.  Now I just need to find the time to read it and get outside and learn and locate the many different configurations that make up our wonderful universe.  That is, if it isn’t too cold outside!
