Chik-Wauk Museum and Nature Center Naturalist Programs Begin

The forecast for today looks like it may be a perfect day to visit Chik-Wauk Museum and Nature Center.    It’s a wonderful place to spend any day but especially a cloudy or rainy one.

Today is a special day at Chik-Wauk because the Becoming a Boundary Waters Family and USFS seminars begin today.  Steve Robertson will be presenting a Naturalist Program at 3pm on the porch of Chik-Wauk.  June 30th someone will be speaking about bats and on the 7th of July someone will be speaking about birds.

Also at Chik-Wauk this year there will be "Nature Walks and Talks" on Sundays at 2pm.  There are various topics scheduled and they will continue through August.  These learning opportunities make a visit to Chik-Wauk even more memorable.

When you get up to visit Chik-Wauk this year be sure to take a drive over to Voyageur and stop in and say "Hello."  If you want to take a canoe out for a paddle or try a kayak then let us know.  We can get you set up for a nice day trip or a half-day trip.

We hope to see you up the Gunflint Trail today or later this summer!
